 HOW I BECAME A PRINTER TECHNICIAN.

PART 1

After my Bachelor of computer engineering course in 2006 June-Sept, I went to work with Bifriens Investments Ltd in Kisubi as a graduate trainee. Among the things we learnt was a demonstration of toner cartridge refilling but direct participation was forbidden since printer was for business and they avoided spoiling quality of work. 

In same year 2006 Dec. After applying numerous times on Brighter Monday, they called me saying PC world computers was in need of printer and computer repair technician. I called my friends and we headed our nose to the PC world Kamwokya. On submission of application letter, CV and documents,  the Indian said he would give us three days to test our expertise and after that give us appointment letters. I had worked on laptops but never desktops and printers. After 30 minutes I found excuse to depart. Remember I had travelled from Ibanda to Kla to attend training for TNS global research project Incidence and they had assured us to receive facilitation money that week.

 The developed system which is English to Runyankole speech translation system. that aimed at developing a desktop application called "TRANSTOOL” that inputs English Speech and then outputs Runyankole speech maintaining the voice of the speaker, English to Runyankole speech system was developed to meet the main- objective of translation English speech to Runyankole speech.
