M first one week in Budapest

I landed safely on Saturday 2nd September at Budapest international airport Hungary to study my MSc Computer Science Engineering at Óbuda university.

I was welcomed by continuing students from my country and helped me to navigate to my dormitory and I signed the dormitory agreement.

Following day, I befriended some one from Ethiopia and he helped me to navigate to city center to Change my money from Euros to Forints and he also showed me my university on the way as well as helping me buy telephone line and cooking stuffs coz I was starving.

Monday I navigated by myself to the university and picked my Residence permit then I was told to register at government office and I navigated to Fiorán tér but could locate government office after several trials of asking about and following Google maps. I successfully bought tickets for travelling by myself.

That evening, I requested my dormitory leader and he sent me a link District 8 which was easy to find.

Following day Tuesday morning I went to Óbuda bogdani bus station and found the office. I registered and looked for nearby bank ERSTE and initiated bank account opening and made appointment of 9 AM following day to complete.

Wednesday morning I woke up early and arrived at Erste bank in Deaák Ferenc tér and successfully openedmy bank account. Thereafter embarked on the journey to my university boarding bus 9 and getting out of Nagyszombat utca. Unfortunately I found orientation program was done for that day.

To be continued...
